Hall of Fame Inductees

Quick History
Under the early leadership of visionaries including General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl “Red” Blaik and renowned journalist Grantland Rice, the College Football Hall of Fame was established by the National Football Foundation in 1951 to immortalize the greatest players and coaches as positive role models for future generations.
The Hall’s first “location” was a Manhattan brownstone where the founders began collecting memorabilia to preserve the history and traditions of the game. From New York, the Hall opened its doors to the public for the first time in Kings Mills, Ohio in 1978. In 1995, the Hall was relocated to South Bend, Indiana where it remained until
2012.
In a strategic partnership with the NFF, the Hall of Fame was relocated to Atlanta and the $69 million, state-of-the-art shrine to the game’s greatest players, coaches and fan bases opened on August 23, 2014. The College Football Hall of Fame celebrated it's 10th Anniversary in the Capital of College Football in 2024.
Special Events
The Hall of Fame features over 50,000 square feet of unique event and exhibit space. From intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate events, the Hall is home to over 230 private events a year including the ESPN College Football Awards Show, SEC Media Days, SIAC Media Days, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Media Day and more.
