Bio

Steve Kiner made consensus All-America in 1968 and unanimous All-America in 1969 as linebacker for Tennessee. The Vols had a 26-6-1 record in his time and won two Southeastern Conference championships. The 1968 team led by linebacker Kiner, set a school record by holding opponents to an average of 93 yards a game on rushing plays. Kiner was named to Tennessee's All-100-Year team. He played nine years, 1970-78, in pro football with Dallas, New England, Washington, and Houston. Kiner continued his educational life in 1994, earning two Masters degrees. He began the practice of mental health therapy with headquarters in Carrollton, Georgia.
