E.J. Henderson was Maryland’s only consensus two-time First-Team All-America selection. During his collegiate career he racked up numerous records and accolades. He becomes the seventh Terrapin inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the school’s first in two decades. During his junior year he was named ACC Player of the Year after leading the conference in tackles per game (13.6) and tackles for loss (28). He also led Maryland to the 2001 ACC title, the first conference championship since 1985. During his final season he finished his career earning Defensive MVP honors at the 2002 Peach Bowl in a win over Tennessee that helped Maryland finish the year ranked No.13. Henderson was inducted into the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016. A second round pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, Henderson played his entire nine-year career with the Minnesota Vikings. He was elected to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and was named the Minnesota Vikings Community Man of the Year in 2010.
