Bio

Rickey Dixon is one of the best defensive backs in Oklahoma school history, helping guide the Sooners to a national championship in 1985. Dixon finished his career with 17 interceptions, a Big Eight conference record that ranks as the second most in OU history. He also tallied 170 tackles and 303 interception return yards while leading Oklahoma to a 42-5-1 record. During the 1987, season he intercepted two passes in the game between No. 1 Nebraska and No.2 Oklahoma, billed as the “Game of the Century II”. Dixon was the 5th overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He played five seasons with the Bengals before finishing his career with the Los Angeles Raiders.
