Bio

One of the greatest linemen in Oklahoma history is Tony Casillas. The 6-3, 275-pound middle guard was named the College Defensive Player of the Decade for the 1980s. During his amazing collegiate career, Casillas produced some equally outstanding statistics. He sacked the opposing quarterback 18 times including ten in his senior season alone; and of his 213 career tackles - 40 of them were for losses. Perhaps the most impressive statistic during his time as a Sooner, however, is the 20-3-1 record Oklahoma compiled during his final two seasons. Casillas led OU to three post-season bowl games, was a consensus All-America selection in 1984 and 1985, and was the recipient of the Lombardi Award as a senior in 1985. As a pro he was the second selection in the 1986 draft and played 12 seasons with Atlanta, Dallas and New York. With the Cowboys he was twice named All-Pro and was a member of two Super Bowl teams.
