Bio

California quarterback Joe Kapp has a unique distinction. He quarterbacked teams in the Rose Bowl, Grey Cup and Super Bowl. While playing in those games is a feat in itself, Kapp made getting there just as impressive. During his senior season at Cal, Kapp was voted team MVP and was an All-America and All-Conference selection as he led the Golden Bears to a Pacific Coast Conference championship and a berth in the Rose Bowl. Regarded as a versatile athlete, Kapp threw for a team-high 775 yards and ran for a Pacific Coast Conference high 582 yards as a senior. He was also a two-time letter winner in basketball. As a pro, Kapp went on to play eight seasons in the CFL for the BC Lions. He then went on to play in the NFL from 1968-70 for both the Patriots and Vikings. Kapp led the 1969 edition of the Vikings to the Super Bowl.
