Bio

At the end of the one platoon era, Dave Robinson played both ways as an end at Penn State. The school had a 24-8 record in those three years, won two Lambert Trophies as best team in the East, and was in the Liberty Bowl once and the Gator Bowl twice. Robinson was a first-team All-America in 1962. Robinson has been elected to the Gator Bowl Hall of Fame. In 1962, the Newark Athletic Club named Robinson the College Player of the Year. The Philadelphia Sports Writers Association named him the College Lineman of the Year. He ended the season playing in the Hula Bowl. The Green Bay Packers drafted him in the first round, and he played ten years with them and two with the Washington Redskins. The Packers made him a linebacker and he made all-pro at that position.
