He made 154 tackles in 10 games. His pro career covered one year with Saskatchewan in the Canadian League, 1957; four years with Detroit, 1958-61; and seven years with Cleveland 1962-68. With the Browns he became an all-pro defensive end. He studied at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1963. He wrote his first book, "Get in the Game," in 1965. By 1994, he had written ten books and led interdenominational crusades with audiences up to 13,000 people. Billy Graham said of him, "Bill Glass speaks frankly and pulls no punches. He knows young people." The Bill Glass Evangelistic Association produced a number of TV specials. The Bill Glass Evangelical Association produced three TV specials, including the "Bill Glass Prison Special," nominated for an Emmy Award. Some of his book titles are "Expect to Win," "Stand Tall and Straight," and "Free at Last."
