The College Football Hall of Fame, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta across from Centennial Olympic Park, opened its doors in August 2014.   The Hall’s mission is to use our position as a trusted authority to inspire and connect audiences while honoring the greatest of the great and celebrating the people, passion and traditions of the game.  The Hall of Fame is widely recognized as one of the nation’s most engaging attractions and the home of college football.
 Job Summary:
The College Football Hall of Fame is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team in driving exceptional marketing execution across multiple disciplines to meet the objectives of the organization.  This position will be responsible for managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and will participate in the development of marketing plans and campaigns as well.  Work environments will vary including support office, Hall of Fame and other indoor/outdoor venues for marketing events.
The Marketing Manager must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented, team player who possess customer-focused approach to their work.  Candidate must have proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with great attention to detail and have the ability to think strategically to develop marketing plans across multiple marketing functions.  The Sr. Marketing Manager will work in various environments including the office, Hall and other indoor/outdoor external marketing events.
Role, Responsibilities, and Key Performance Areas:
  • Develop, maintain and execute against integrated marketing calendar leveraging interdepartmental collaboration in all phases.
  • Ensure marketing activation plans are developed for specific promotions, events or other executions including clearly defined objectives and KPIs.
  • Work with executive team to analyze and determine ROI at both the promotional and campaign levels.
  • Oversee internal marketing channels to ensure timely, consistent and strategic messaging including website, social media and email.
  • Manage, develop, train and provide timely feedback to any direct reports.
  • Manage media and promotional categories within the overall marketing operating budget. 
  •  Work with strategic partners for advertising and promotion activities including print, online (website, social media), electronic media, and direct mail. 
  • Proactively prepare KPI reports for review with executives and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage special projects on an as-needed basis (market research and others as assigned).
  • Provide quarterly review and summary of competitor activity across all channels (products, sales and marketing activities).
  • Maintain brand standards throughout all creative promotional materials and events.
  • Coordinate efforts between multiple internal departments and units to achieve identified goals.
  • Assist other departments within organization as needed with creative and activation planning. 
  • Develop monthly social media content calendar.
  • Assist in development and execution of public relations/earned media strategy.  
  • Manage promotional partnerships.

  • Able to clearly express ideas; excellent written communication skills; present verbal information in a straightforward manner; ask questions in order to open channels of communication and listen to understand perspective of others.
Education & Experience:
  •  Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Expert fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous marketing experience 
  • Minimum 1-2 years previous experience in leading a team with progressive experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to stand and walk
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Travel Requirements:
  • 10-15% travel required
Driving Requirements:
  •  Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required as you will be driving and using a company vehicle at events.
