Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame Raises $4,000 For Curing Kids Cancer in 2018

Annual partnership surpasses $16,000 to fight childhood cancer

For the third year since the Hall opened its doors in Atlanta, the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame has partnered with Atlanta-based charity, Curing Kids Cancer to raise awareness and funds for this important initiative during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month each September. This year, the Hall of Fame, also a local non-profit, raised $4,000, bringing the Hall’s total donation to more than $16,000. The donation will help fund new lifesaving childhood cancer treatments and pediatric cancer research.

“The timing of the start of college football season and the beginning of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September creates a tremendous opportunity for the Hall of Fame to raise awareness for a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts,” said Kimberly Beaudin, Vice President of Marketing & Sales for the College Football Hall of Fame. “We consider it a blessing to play a part in tackling childhood cancer and advocating for the families that face this disease every day.”

The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame has a long-standing relationship with Curing Kids Cancer. The two non-profit organizations have teamed up on several initiatives, including a book signing for two-time College Football Hall of Fame inductee Steve Spurrier and the First & Gold Gala honoring the likes of Lee Corso for their contributions to the cause.

“We are very thankful to have such a wonderful partnership with the College Football Hall of Fame”, said Grainne Owen, Curing Kids Cancer President and Founder. “The fact that they not only help us raise funds but they also help us raise awareness during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September shows their level of commitment to our cause. Most people do not know that September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so this partnership is truly making a difference and increasing awareness for our cause.”
